Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, recently inaugurated the International School Transport Conference and Exhibition 2013, held for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa region and co-hosted by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the American National Pupils Transportation (NAPT). The event was held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The inaugural Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Forum for Best Practices 2013 held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Dubai, aimed at showcasing excellent local and international administrative practices. It shed light on the corporate governance over three panels and featured participation by 13 experts from international institutions.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will host the second Knowledge Fair from April 14-18, 2013, under the theme “Knowledge for All”. During the event, the RTA will host national leaders and international experts who will speak about their corporate leadership models along with a review of the best administrative practices in local government departments and international agencies.
The Public Transport Agency, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), has launched five new bus routes in Dubai and revised four others, with a view to consolidating the public bus network in the emirate in keeping with the rising demand for mass transit services in general and public buses in particular.
Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), recently opened the forum of the MENA Centre for Transport Excellence, (MENA CTE). The event was held to mark the inaugural training course of the CTE which was established in 2011 in culmination of the partnership between the RTA and the UITP and the success of Dubai, represented by the RTA, in hosting the 59th UITP Congress & Exhibition that was held from April 10 to 14, 2011.
