RTA acts on Dubai Metro noise
The RTA is always keen on adopting the best practices and means of enhancing its work mechanism and improving services offered to various community segments in such a way that renders public transit modes safer and smoother.
Bike stands built at stations
The RTA has completed the construction of a large number of bicycle stands as part of the initial phase of allocating bike stands at Dubai Metro stations on both the Red and Green Lines, with a view to enhancing integrated public transport systems in Dubai and accordingly encourage the public to use bikes, particularly on short trips. The rest of the bike stands planned, the total number of which sits at 3,000 stands, are set to be completed in the first quarter of this year.
‘Hailing Taxis by SMS’ begins at Dubai Metro stations
Essa Abdul Rahman Al Dosari, CEO of the Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), has called for more efforts towards propagating the culture of using public transport means among various community segments at a time when the RTA is striving to broaden and upgrade the package of services offered to taxi users in Dubai.
RTA service timings during Ramadan 2012
The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the working hours during the Holy Month of Ramadan this year covering customer service centres, car parking facilities, public buses, Dubai Metro, marine transit means, driving institutes, and vehicles testing and registration centres.
